Rokerij

Rokerij means “smokehouse” in Dutch, and this Richardson Browne restaurant embraces grilled meats in their purest form. Despite its European moniker, the restaurant’s menu is strictly American, with classic steakhouse dishes such as rib eye, filet mignon, and lamb chops, as well as a solid selection of seafood. There are two scenes under this roof—on casual evenings, step into the first floor bar and lounge and surround yourself with a rustic copper bar, flickering fireplace, and cozy booths; when the occasion presents itself, climb the stairs for the second-floor formality of white tablecloths and glistening candlelight.

The Rokerij is perfection...

Hands down the best dining experience we've had in years (and we go out a lot!!) - Fresh seafood selections, gorgeous hunks of beef, excellent wines, good looking staff, and varying price ranges so everyone can enjoy this place - What more could you ask for?? - Treat yourselves to a wonderful meal at the Rokerij...

love the rokerij

Romantic Night Out

My husband and I fell in love all over again.

Rokerij?

Can't say it right, Can't find it easily. That's ok with me because it is a great find. Any more people frequent this place and I'll have to share it.

Outstanding...

Food was superb, the selection was outstanding, the wine choices were excellent and the service was first class. Very good environment and treated very well from arrival through departure. Good job!

Rokerij

If you haven't eaten here; it's a must. I travel all over the US and this is the best restaurant! Be sure and have the chips and salsa...

You Gotta Eat Here

By far one of the best restaurants we've eaten in... everything from the wonderfully cozy and intimate decor to the delicious food - it's our favorite place to go.

Great meal!

Excellent experience - quaint, intimate feel in the cellar. Food was dynamite, service was exceptional - highly recommend it, we'll be back!

A very good dinning experiance, fun atmosphere,

Everyone of our group of 6 would recomend this restaruante. The food and selection was outstanding.

An Evening at the Rokerij

You are immediately caught by the cozy feeling of this small dining establishment. The greeting at the door is warm and friendly. You have to be patient but there is plenty to do as you wait. The food is excellent as it has the spice of the Southwest and familiarity of traditional American flair. The waiters are knowledgeable and friendly as they will sit with you if the time permits. The experience is one that includes not only dining but the charm of a quaint neighborhood resturant.

It was wonderful

great food, reasonable prices and good service. Wonderful ambience!

Eat well, bring ear plugs

The location is convenient, the food was good and the bar did a great job but boy, was it noisy. It was past loud. When eating with others, I like to hear what they have to say.

Excellent ambiance, service, and food! You gotta go!

Terrible Service

We had never been to Rokerij before, but used to be frequent diners at Richardsons prior the fire. When we heard that Rokerij was including Richardsons menu in their offering, we thought that we would give it a try. We went to Rokerij on a random Tuesday. I was amazed at how busy it was. We figured that it must have been a sign of how much people liked their food. It took a little longer than expected to place our drink orders, but not enough to cause any concern. However, the amount of time that it took to get our drinks was ridiculous. We polished off our water almost immediately and sat with no drinks for quite some time. We couldn't even find our server to ask. Finally, my husband couldn't take it anymore and started looking for a manager, which was impossible to locate. The server finally brought us our drinks. The appetizers were delicious and a decent size(we had some "small plates"). One person's main course (there were four of us) was brought out around 10 minutes before everyone else's. The quality of the food was a 4. The service, however, was horrendous - 1 star. There were no issues with receiving the proper items. It was just a matter of finally ordering them and receiving them. One more thing to note. We did not care for the fact that one of our diners ordered a ginger ale, and the server neglected to tell him that it was a home brew (which apparently tasted like flat root beer). She then had that audacity to tell the guest that they did not carry straws, because "When Rich went to Holland, they didn't have straws." I doubt that we will ever go back to this restaurant. If we do, we will probably sit at the bar.

Take your money elsewhere

I have dined at this restaurant many times over the past couple of years. Never have I ever been asked to hurry up and leave as they need to turn the table for another reservation that has been waiting - which is exactly what the waiter asked us to do this evening. Unbelievably the rudest experience I have had at restaurant in years and I will make it a point to take my business elsewhere in the future. We made our reservation through PhoenixRestaurants.com and this is the service we receive? Apparently this facility is far more interested in making money than they are in providing a pleasant dining experience. Take your money eslewhere is my recommendation! Needless to say our enjoyable evening with friends was ruined for the greed of generating revenue by the Rokerji.

Piss Poor Service

Spend your money at a Wendy's or McDonald's drive through, you'll get more professional service.

Lousy service and poor quality food

Dear Sir.....we have been to this restaurant before....have LOVED it.....but NO MORE ! Our waitress was SO aggressive for us to ORDER FAST...order was wrong....but we were so disgusted overall we paid the bill and left. The NOISE was deafening.....we had invited some VERY old friends from Michigan to join us....we could NOT even talk. What happened to the Table Cloths....this would HELP keep the noise down some ! Apparently you are trying to BLEND the Rokerij with the burned down New Mexico place across the street. In my opinion......2 different places and styles. Hope this info will help . Phil Garlick
